All of our class sessions will be in the Sullivan Airport main office building. The building is equiped with male/female seperate bathrooms, running water, hot coffee as well as a snack and soda machines.
All of our instructors are highly qualified and experienced pilots. We will be taking that extra step to make sure that you are ready to take that written test.
We will also keep the class size small and provide a thorough slide show presentation, so that you can walk away knowing that you have received a well rounded class session.
Below are some words, with a brief explanation, that we usually bantor around not realizing that someone new may not know what we are talking about:
- Aircraft - Any flying vehicle (i.e. airplane, helicopter, balloon, glider, etc...)
- Experimental - Any aircraft not manufactured by a "primary" aircraft manufacturer.
- FAA - Federal Aviation Administration a governmental body that regulates aviation and aircraft manufacturing.
- VFR - Visual Flight Rules designated by the FAA regarding flight between the ground and 18,000 feet away from clouds.
- VMC - VFR Meteorological Conditions (legal to fly under VFR conditions).
- IFR - Instrument Flight Rules designated by the FAA regarding flight into clouds.
- IMC - IFR Meterological Conditions (legal to fly under IFR conditions).
